My favourite Spring Styling and Easter Gift Wrapping Ideas

My favourite season of the year has to be Spring. It’s new beginnings where the garden starts to flourish, the closets get cleared and the longer days are evident. In this post I thought I’s share with you my favourite Spring Styling and Easter Gift Wrapping Ideas

I have a huge love for flowers having been a florist in the past and even if you don’t grow your own blooms, pots of Spring flowers can be bought inexpensively from florists and markets

  1. Add some Spring bling

Ribbon, Tag and Wrap by Jane Means

Artificial flowers such as daffodils or tulips can be easily tied in with ribbon, and for decorative gift tags, wooden shapes can be painted and stuck on to the card for a stunning look

2. Style your napkins

Give you place settings a bit of Easter sparkle with these clever folded napkins. You can find lots of easy tutorials and YouTube which will impress your dinner guests

3. Theme your gift wrapping

Remnants of gift wrap paper can be cut in to large teardrops and tied in with ribbon. This clever technique is easy to achieve and looks really effective

4. Experiment with your table dressing

We totally love this rustic table dressed with nests, eggs, wood, terracotta pots filled with flowers and beautiful paper runners (just use a strip of wallpaper). This Easter table will be a breathtaking centrepiece for you to admire

5. Cones good enough for ice cream

Cones picked up from Country walks can be sprayed with pastel colours and showcased in a glass vase on your table or mantle. You could even add some room fragrance spray to give them a delicate scent. With a length of craft wire, you could even tie them on to presents with pretty pastel ribbons

6. Eggs- tra special treats

We love this way of wrapping an Easter Egg….looks too delicious to open. It can easily be gift wrapped using two folded sheets of contrasting tissue and tying with a pretty ribbon. The creation will resemble some vibrant bunny ears and placed in a glass tumbler these will look great on your dining table

7. Make a welcoming wreath

A basic wicker or straw wreath can be easily bought from florists and garden centres, and are generally fairly inexpensive. With some creative ideas, ribbons, faux flowers, decorations and a glue gun, you can transform this in to a creative masterpiece

Going one step further, you could even decorate an old bicycle wheel!

8. Dazzle your friends with a mouth watering cheesecake

Now that friends have come out of winter hibernation, Spring is a great time to catch up with loved ones over a pot of tea. Chocolate mini eggs are readily available and will transform a standard cheesecake in to a mouthwatering masterpiece. Make sure that you have your cake forks ready!
