Halloween party bags made easy
With bonfire night and trick or treating only a few weeks away, we thought we’d share these great Halloween party bags made easy. They can be filled with candy, chocolate and spooky treats for Halloween, and being in versatile brown bags they can pretty much be transformed in to any occasion including childrens birthday parties and rustic wedding favours.
All you require for this easy project are some plain brown block bags. I was lucky to pick some up in Spotlight whilst running a Gift Wrapping Course in Singapore, but other places where you can pick them up are party shops, department stores, packaging companies and wedding supplies
To inject some vibrant orange in to the project go for some rich pom pom trim.
This soft bobble trim has been a huge trend in recent years on clothes, crafts and soft furnishings. I have even accessorised a plain beach bag with some yellow pom pom trim to give it a fun look.
To start you’ll need to fold add some double sided tape along the top edge
Measure and stick your pom pom trim whilst on the roll (this way you cut the exact amount and have no waste).
Add your treats…we went for black and white stripe humbugs to keep in the Halloween theme from Ashby Treats
Fold the edge over approx 2cm then punch a hole in the centre
Add some orange ribbon and a brown gift tag…you could put your calligraphy skills to the test

…and voila you have an eyecatching bag
You could also introduce some black ribbon and tie in some Halloween themed cocktail sticks or paper straws as an alternative.

Paper cups are another great alternative for Halloween party gifts. Simply add some cellophane in to the paper cup, add some candy and tie neatly with some black dotty ribbon.
